What is Urban Village Media?

Urban Village Media is a multi-media production company specializing in educational media and children's storytelling.

Urban Village Tales is our children’s storytelling CD and workbook. Click on our listen button to hear a sample of one of our stories and to purchase the CD.

Urban Village Radio is our weekly children’s storytelling radio program (Spring 2008).

Urban Village Bedtime Tales are two-minute bedtime children's stories told over the phone.Our featured storyteller, Kwasida Afi weaves African inspired tales full of energy. Our tales inspire, motivate, educate and entertain. Our original children's stories take children ages 3-8 years old on audio adventures as we teach morals, character and history.

How It Works

• Urban Village calls your child every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m
• When your child answers the call, we give them the option to hear the story two times
• When we get a busy signal or no answer, we try several more times after waiting a few minutes
