Urban Village Media was created by long time educator, instructional technologist and mom Kwasida Afi Williams.

She holds a B.A in Mass Communications from Clark Atlanta University and is currently pursing a Masters of Science degree in Education Media and Design. Kwasida has always had a passion for educational media/technology and children’s storytelling. As an instructional technology consultant, Kwasida has trained 1000’s of teachers to integrate technology into their classrooms. In addition, as an Atlanta Public Schools teacher, Kwasida taught and designed curriculum for students in grades K-12th. She fell in love with early childhood media and storytelling as the Education Director at an early learning center. Urban Village Media combines all of Kwasida’s passions: education, media/technology, storytelling and children.

Our goal is to help youth increase the use of the imagination, create mind movies and go on vicarious audio adventures. The Urban Village Tales workbook supplements the Urban Village Tales CD by including higher order thinking questions, word searches and coloring pages designed to help students comprehend the stories and use critical thinking skills.
